Georges Corbeil’s career in
Facilities Management spans over 40 years. Early in his career Georges was a
Boiler Inspector for the Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company of Canada. Georges later taught the Stationary Engineering Program at Cambrian College, following which he had a long career working in Healthcare Facilities Management at
large teaching and community-based hospitals. It was at this time that Georges
and some colleagues founded the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society. More
recently Georges has worked for some of Canada’s largest real estate and
property management companies including: Brookfield Lepage Johnson Controls,
the Campeau Corporation as well as the Sunlife Assurance Company. Before
joining Breeze, he was the Manager of Technical Services for Bentall Real
Estate Services. His participation in the development of the facilities
management industry has included serving on many national and provincial
committees including: The Standing Committee of Fire Safety and Occupancy for
the Canadian Commission of Building and Fire Codes. He is a Past President of
the Building Owners and Management Institute of Canada, and presently serves on
the Facilities Operations Apprenticeship Steering Committee for the Ontario
Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Georges continues his life
long commitment to education and he continues to teach many of the Building
Owners Management Institute programs including: the Real Property
Administrator program, the Facilities Management Administrator program, as well
as the Systems Maintenance Administrator program. He has developed customized
education programs on boilers, refrigeration and electrical systems, which he
